The ceremony was held for U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Matthew Dorton, the oncoming company commander for Truck Company, who relieved U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Marie Banks, the outgoing company commander of Truck Company. During the ceremony, the transfer of the company colors, symbolizing the transfer of responsibility and authority of Truck Company, was performed by the outgoing and incoming commanders.

Utilizing AAVs, Marines disembarked the USS Green Bay (LPD-20), landed on Blue Beach, Malaysia, then brought back members of the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) aboard the vessel to participate in the opening ceremony for exercise Tiger Strike 19 and a tour. Marines and Sailors with 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, worked with the U.S. Navy and Okinawan military contractors to salvage a lost anchor off shore of White Beach, Okinawa, Japan, Sept. 26, 2019. 3rd Marine Division was able to utilize its training and assets in order to recover the anchor and return to port in a safe and operational condition.

Philippine and U.S. Marines drive a Philippine assault amphibious vehicle onto the beach during an AAV subject matter expert exchange in Subic Bay, Philippines, Sept. 5, 2019.
