U.S. Marine Capt. Alexander Navia briefs Marines aboard the United States Naval Ship Millinocket May 29, 2017. The Marines are deployed in support of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training, which is focused on enhancing the mission readiness of Marines in Thailand and the Philippines. Navia, a native of Parkville, Maryland, is the commanding officer of Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, which is forward deployed to 4th Marine Regiment as part of the Unit Deployment Program.
