Marines and Assault Amphibious Vehicles aboard the USS Germantown prepare to depart for Camp Schwab, Japan during exercise Blue Chromite 2014 Nov. 1. Blue Chromite exercises the interoperability and joint capabilities of U.S. Navy and Marine Corps forces and increases the amphibious proficiency of participating units. The Marines and AAV’s are with Combat Assault Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
