Marines prepare to clear a house alongside ROK Marines during the Korean Marine Exchange Program 16-3 at Rodriguez Live Fire Complex, South Korea, Dec. 22, 2015. KMEP 16-3 is one in a series of regularly-scheduled combined, small-unit, tactical training exercises. The relationship between ROK and U.S. Marine Corps forces encompasses the strategic, operational, and tactical levels of training. The goal of the KMEP is to enhance and improve interoperability of ROK an U.S. Marine Corps forces to build warfighting capabilities as partners. The Marines are from 1st Battalion, 2nd Marines Regiment, currently forward deployed in the Pacific as part of 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
