U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Joshua Duarte gives a war cry prior to air assault training Oct. 31, 2017 on Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Okinawa, Japan, in support of Blue Chromite 18. The Marines painted their faces in order to blend in with their environment. The central location of Blue Chromite allows the Navy-Marine Corps team to conduct high-level training without degrading its ability to rapidly respond to crises and disaster throughout the Indo-Asia- Pacific region. Duarte, a Los Angeles, California native, is a platoon sergeant with Charlie Co., 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt. Ally Beiswanger)
