U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Spencer Blum, an infantryman with 3d Littoral Combat Team, 3d Marine Littoral Regiment, 3d Marine Division, sets security with an M240B machine gun as part of exercise Bougainville II at Dillingham Airfield, Hawaii, Oct. 25, 2022. A company with 3d Littoral Combat team secured an expeditionary advanced base at Dillingham Airfield in order to enable early warning of air and missile threats. Bougainville II is a field exercise that allows the MLR and its subordinate units to conduct expeditionary advanced base operations across the island of Oahu.
