U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Christian Hernandez conducts a maintenance inspection during a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System Rapid Infiltration demonstration on Iwo To, Japan, June 13, 2023. The exercise demonstrated the Marine Corps’ capability to rapidly emplace, fire, and displace in austere environments. Anderson, a native of Ivanhoe, California, is a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System operator with 5th Battalion, 11th Marines and is forward deployed in the Indo-Pacific under 3d Battalion, 12th Marines, 3d Marine Division as part of the Unit Deployment Program.
