An identity design created for 3d Reconnaissance Battalion on July 20, 2023, at Camp Courtney, Okinawa, Japan. The mission of 3d Reconnaissance Battalion is to conduct amphibious reconnaissance, ground reconnaissance, surveillance, battlespace shaping, and specialized raids in support of the Marine Division and its subordinate elements, or a designated Marine Air-Ground Task Force.
