Walsh and Weathers have been training with the jump team since arriving at Twentynine Palms in early January. Walsh, a rifleman, is the assistant convoy commander for the jump team. Weathers, a rifleman, is a gunner for one of the vehicles in the jump team. Both Marines are with Headquarters Company, 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
